▲ Amanda Thomas, de oprichtster en ontwerpster van Luv AJ, begon haar merk toen ze 14 jaar oud was, toen haar naschoolse hobby van sieraden maken in haar laatste jaar van de middelbare school veranderde in een bedrijf. Een stage bij een lokale ontwerper inspireerde haar om aan mijn eigen creaties te werken, en na een toevallige ontmoeting met een koper bij Fred Segal, haalden ze haar hele collectie op voor hun winkels. En van daaruit werd Luv AJ gecreëerd!
▲ Haar naam is Amanda Jane en haar bijnaam is AJ. Ze ondertekende altijd alles ‘Luv AJ’, dus het leek alleen maar gepast om haar merk dezelfde naam te geven. Na de middelbare school studeerde ze af aan Otis College of Art and Design met een BFA in Graphic Design en liep ze stage bij kledingontwerpster Rachel Pally, celebrity stylist Cristina Erhlich, en was ze een grafisch ontwerpstagiair bij Who What Wear. Deze ervaringen en kansen inspireerden me om mijn liefde voor sieraden nog verder na te streven en mijn merk verder te laten groeien.
▲ Sinds ze 18 jaar geleden Luv AJ lanceerde, waren ze te zien op beroemdheden zoals Bella Hadid, Hailey Bieber, Kylie en Kendall Jenner en in winkels over de hele wereld zoals Revolve, Shop Bop, ASOS, Nordstrom, enz. Ze werd ook toegevoegd op de Forbes '30 Under 30'-lijst in 2015 voor haar werk als sieradenontwerpster.
